Opening Remarks

Marisa Rivera-Albert, President of Mpowerment Works and former President of the National Hispana Leadership Institute

Marisa will tell set the tone for the conference and bring everyone together on the high-energy themes of self-empowerment and the importance of peer-to-peer networks. She will engage the audience by asking them to think about the “tool box” that they need to lead.

She focuses on the key strength of women leaders: their high value on authenticity and a comfort of integrating public and private self.

This panel of leadership practitioners will react to the previous two presentations by providing concrete examples from their own experience. The panel will explore times when these strategies have been successful as well as times when the conventional wisdom has been wrong and they’ve had to use other methods in order to be successful.
