As a certified career coach with over 30 years of cross-sector success, she guides women to clarify and pursue meaningful goals, build confidence to overcome barriers, and effectively communicate their value – resulting in 242% enhancement in networking confidence, 200% improvement in negotiation skills, and 188% increase in career clarity.
Erica's approach to professional development combines research-based methods with heart-centered coaching, creating transformative experiences for women leaders across diverse industries. She has designed and delivered numerous initiatives to help individuals and organizations grow and thrive – including Eli Lilly & Co., Dress for Success, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Erica owns and leads Inspire to Excel, a career services firm that empowers women to achieve authentic success. She earned her PhD in Women’s Social Policy from The George Washington University, where she later served as an award-winning educator. Erica also graduated from Indiana University with a master's degree in Nonprofit Management, graduate certification in Social Entrepreneurship, and a bachelor’s degree in Business.
A passionate advocate, Erica’s holistic commitment to women’s advancement is a powerful catalyst for leadership development across the Washington, DC area. She volunteers as a job-readiness coach with Suited for Change, supports breast cancer patients and survivors through Tigerlily Foundation, and mentors emerging women leaders throughout the George Washington University community.
